OMAHA — The Nebraska State Patrol will hold a media availability this morning at 10 a.m. in Omaha to discuss the recent rash of crashes in which a parked NSP cruiser has been struck by a passing motorist. There have been three such crashes in the last two weeks.
The most recent crash occurred Monday evening in Omaha, when a trooper was struck while assisting the Omaha Police Department with traffic control at another crash scene. The trooper was inside the patrol unit at the time of the crash and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The trooper remains hospitalized this morning.
The event will be live streamed on the NSP Facebook page.
