LEXINGTON — On Sunday, July 20, at approximately 8:22 a.m., the Lexington Police Department and the Lexington Rescue Unit were dispatched to an area on Plum Creek Parkway in Lexington, Dawson County, Nebraska for a bicycle accident.
Upon arrival, officers observed an adult male lying in the street with apparent head injuries after crashing his E-Bike. It was determined on scene and through continued investigation that the adult male identified as
76-year-old K. C. Chrisman of Lexington, had struck a concrete median with the front tire of his bicycle causing the bicycle to flip. Mr. Chrisman suffered severe injuries and was transported to the Lexington Regional Hospital, where he was stabilized and flown to CHI/Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Our condolences are with Mr. Chrisman’s family during this time. This is an ongoing investigation and will be conducted by the Lexington Police Department.
