KEARNEY — The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department and Nebraska State Patrol responded to a vehicle accident at a rest area west of Kearney during the late morning of Thursday, July 31.
Just after 11 a.m., a Nebraska State Patrol trooper reported that he had witnessed a vehicle going full speed and struck a parked semi-truck. The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) and Good Samaritan EMS were dispatched to the rest area.
On scene, a Toyota four door vehicle with out-of-state plates with heavy front-end damage had come to rest near the back tank attached to a semi.
At least one male was loaded into a Good Samaritan ambulance on scene.
The cause of the accident and extent of any injuries was not available on scene. More information will be released when it becomes available.
