HASTINGS — Hastings residents are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 42nd Annual “National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event.
On Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, residents of Hastings are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police. The event will start with a short walk around the park at 5:30 p.m., followed by a free barbeque organized by the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce’s Crime Prevention Committee.
The event will include visits by police, various community organizations, and other activities at Brickyard Park.
The BBQ will be open to those who walk first and then to the others attending. Local non-profits will also attend and have booths set up for you to gather their information.
