KEARNEY — Flowers are in full bloom during the late summer at the Yanney Heritage Park Gardens in Kearney.

The following is provided by the City of Kearney’s website:

The Gardens at Yanney Park continues Kearney’s legacy of strong public and private partnership through seven themed gardens. Through 12.6 acres of educational and diverse plantings, the Gardens showcase the relationships and value of plants and plant groups.

The seven themed gardens include: Pollinator, Lilac & Hydrangea, Nebraska Native, Annual, Rose, Xeriscape and Edibles. There are winding paths throughout the gardens which are enhanced by public art features by world renowned artists. The Burlington Capital Green Courtyard offers open green space for a variety of functions, and the Gail & Michael Yanney Pavilion available for rent is perfect for private and public special events.

All gardens are open year-round and are free to the public.
