LEXINGTON — On Monday, Sept. 15, 2025, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Lexington Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Rimpley Lane in the south area of Lexington in reference to an active physical disturbance between a male and female.

Upon arrival, Officers made contact inside the home with an adult female that had received serious injuries from an apparent physical assault. Witnesses at the scene indicated the male subject was outside.

Officers exited the home and contacted an adult male armed with a large kitchen knife. During the contact the male injured himself twice with the knife and failed to comply with Officer’s commands to drop the weapon. As other Officers arrived on scene, a Taser was deployed, and the subject was immediately taken into custody without further incident. Officers provided emergency medical aid to both subjects until EMS arrived.

Both the female and male were transported to the Lexington Regional Hospital. The male was later transported to CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

44-year-old Nestor Roman Argenal was later medically cleared by CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney and transported back to Lexington where he was booked into the Dawson County jail on charges of First-Degree Domestic Assault, two counts of Child Abuse, and Obstructing a Police Officer.

The Lexington Police Department was assisted on scene by the Lexington Fire and Rescue Department and Priority Medical. This is an ongoing investigation and will be conducted by the Lexington Police Department.
