GRAND ISLAND – The Grand Generation Center at 304 E. Third St. is hosting a program to honor veterans that starts at 11:30 am. Nov. 10.

This is the first time that the Grand Generation Center has hosted the event.

Master of Ceremonies for the event is Don Shuda, Hall County Veterans Service Officer.

Hall County Commissioner Pam Lancaster will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America.

Featured speakers are Grand Island Mayor Roger Steele and Nancy Klimek, former activities director at the Nebraska Veterans Home.

Two other featured speakers are John Larson, chairman of the Hall County Warriors; and Brian Rapp. Rapp is Post Commander of American Legion Post No. 53; Commander of American Legion District No. 6; United Veterans Club Board Member; and a Chartered Organization Representative for the Boy Scouts of America.

Tina Johnson will present a quilt of honor.

The United Veterans’ Color Guard will perform the Advancing of Colors, Taps, and Retiring of Colors.

Patriotic music by “Black Tie Entertainment” will proceed the program and will start at 11 a.m. Nov. 10.
