GRAND ISLAND – Grand Island police detained an 11-year-old male after he hit a police officer in the face three times with his head on Nov. 6.
The juvenile was contacted after absconding with Grand Island Public Schools property, according to a police report.
The juvenile was on a two-day hold from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
The juvenile was running in traffic on 13th Street near North Road when he was contacted. Police detained the juvenile from running in traffic, and that is when he hit the police officer three times with his head in the police officer’s face.
