KEARNEY — Two Rivers Public Health Department is deeply saddened to announce the first death of a community member due to complications related to COVID-19 during the 2025-2026 respiratory season.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time.
The individual, was a resident of the 7-county Two Rivers Public Health Department District. Out of respect for privacy and in accordance with health information regulations, no further details about the individual will be released at this time.
This tragic loss is a somber reminder of the importance of taking precautions during the current respiratory season. All residents are urged to:
• Stay up to date on influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters
• Practice good hand hygiene
• Stay home and get tested if you experience symptoms
