Kearney City Hall, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Utilities Department is enhancing customer communication with the launch of a new notification system powered by CodeRED.
This system will deliver timely, critical information directly to affected residents and businesses through phone calls, text messages, emails, and additional notification methods.
The CodeRED platform allows Utilities staff to quickly share important updates, including water service disruptions, sewer main maintenance advisories, sanitation disruptions from holidays and weather events, and other urgent alerts. Messages will be targeted to those affected and who have registered to receive notifications.
Key Information for Customers:
- Registration is required to receive alerts. Registrants are able to choose if they want to receive notifications in all or just one of the following areas: water, sanitary sewer, sanitation, and the landfill.
- Only authorized City personnel can issue messages through CodeRED, ensuring communications are secure and free from spam.
- All contact information is confidential and will be used solely for Utility customer notifications.
The Utilities Department encourages all customers to sign up to stay informed and connected
during time-sensitive situations. Please see below to get registered.
