JUNIATA — A 32-year-old Hastings woman was killed as the result of a one vehicle accident west of Juniata during the morning of Thursday, Nov. 27.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to a one vehicle accident on DLD Road a quarter mile west of Juniata.
It was found that a 2008 Dodge Caravan had left the roadway and come to rest in 32-Mile Creek. Deputies located the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.
Sarah Steele, 32, of Hastings, was declared deceased at the scene. The next of kin have been notified. Seatbelts were not in use at the time of the accident, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Department.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Juniata Fire and Hastings Fire & Rescue.
