HERSHEY — On Nov. 29, 2025 at approximately 5:30 in the morning, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle accident at mile marker 167, or three miles east of Hershey on Highway 30.
When deputies arrived they found a pickup had entered the north ditch and rolled partially over onto its side.
The driver, identified as 41 year old Johan Groenewald of Hershey was the only occupant of the pickup and he did not survive the crash.
Winter road conditions and no seatbelt in use appeared to be contributing factors.
