GRAND ISLAND – Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity will host its annual Cookie Walk from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 1515 S. Harrison St.

Families, longtime supporters, and first-time visitors are invited to kick off the season with sweet treats, holiday fun, and a shared commitment to support affordable housing in the Grand Island area.

There will be thousands of Christmas cookies to choose from, photos with Santa, raffle items, and the exciting Gingerbread House Competition.

Participants of the contest will compete for a $250 holiday package including gift cards from Double V Restaurant, The Chocolate Bar, and AC&C Cleaning.

This year’s Cookie Walk is supported by generous local partners who contribute to help ensure the event’s continued success: United Congregational Church, Faith Christian of Grand Island, CMBA Architects, Swartzbaugh Insurance, Fuel Fix Nutrition, Beyond Therapy, MG Stone Installation, Murray Roofing, and Crazy Chicken Customs.

There’s still time to order a specialty tray for the holidays! Perfect for gifting, family gatherings, or office celebrations, each $30 tray includes an assortment of beautifully arranged Christmas cookies made by volunteer bakers.
