GRAND ISLAND — A third-party contractor working in the area of Old Potash Highway east of Highway 281 and west of Kaufman Ave. accidentally struck a primary line into a Grand Island Utilities Department feeder.
The incident cut power to 514 customers for approximately 53 minutes before GIUD crews fully restored power to the area.
