KEARNEY — City of Kearney Sanitation Division announces that due to the upcoming New Year’s Day Holiday, the following changes will be in effect Monday, Dec. 29 through Saturday, Jan. 3 for the refuse collection system, the Kearney Area Recycling Center, and the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill.
Residential Collection:
• Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday refuse collection will be collected on schedule. Thursday refuse collection will be delayed one day. Friday collection will remain on schedule. Please have the container at the curb by 7 a.m.
• Recycling scheduled for Thursday will be delayed one day. Friday collection will remain
on schedule. Please have the container at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
Commercial Collection:
• Commercial refuse collection scheduled for Thursday will be collected on Friday,
January 2.
• Commercial recycling scheduled for Friday will remain on schedule.
Closings:
• The Kearney Area Recycling Center will be closed Thursday, January 1.
• Solid Waste Agency Landfill will be closed Thursday, January 1.
