GRAND ISLAND – As previously released to the media, the Hall County Sheriff’s Department was awarded $4,386 through the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Office to conduct selective enforcement for the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Mobilization from Dec. 12, 2025, through Jan. 1, 2026.
During this grant, deputies worked 60 hours of selective enforcement on overtime which resulted in the following:
*37 citations for speeding
*7 arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol
*1 citation for open alcohol container in a vehicle
*2 citations for driving during suspension
*56 total citations
