GRAND ISLAND – A Lincoln man who is a lifetime registered sexual offender is facing five felony charges after he communicated through social media with a 14-year-old girl and wanted to engage in sexual activity with her.

Brady Wilson, 28, of Lincoln is charged with five counts of use of an electronic communication device to commit sexual assault. The charges are for incidents that occurred on Jan. 5, Jan. 6, Jan. 7, and Jan. 8.

Wilson was previously convicted of first-degree sexual assault on June 13, 2019, in Buffalo County Court.

County Court Judge Alfred Corey set Wilson’s bond at $250,000. His preliminary hearing will be at 2:30 p.m. Feb 2.

According to an arrest probable cause statement:

On Jan. 5, Wilson communicated on Snapchat with a display name of Brady. He contacted a female who identified herself as a 14-year-old female. Wilson introduced himself as a 28-year-old male who lived in Lincoln.

Wilson asked the teen if she would have sex with an older man. The teen responded that she had never had sex before. Wilson responded that maybe they could engage in that activity as long as she didn’t “snitch.”

Wilson asked for photos of the teen and received them. He told her he could show her a lot of feelings she never could feel.

Wilson then suggested that they meet, and the teen asked if he was serious.

On Jan. 5, Wilson attempted to have the teen send sexually explicit photos of herself on Snapchat. He asked to see a sexually explicit body part, and the teen did not do it.

He then asked her if she wanted to see a sexually explicit part of him, and he sent her a photo of this.

On Jan. 6, Wilson asked the teen to be his girlfriend. He wanted her to move in with him, get married, and have children with him. He suggested that the teen sneak away from her home, meet with him, and engage in sexual activity.

On Jan. 7, Wilson asked the teen to send him photos of her wearing only undergarments. He told her he wanted to spend all day with her in a cheap hotel room.

On Jan. 8, Wilson told the teen he would from from Lincoln on Jan. 9 and be in Grand Island in the morning.

On Jan. 9, police located Wilson parked in a vehicle in south central Grand Island and arrested him.

In previous court cases involving sex charges, Wilson was accused of being involved with females who were 15 and 18 years old.
