LINCOLN — A multi-county search is underway for the bodies of a Stromsburg couple who disappeared on Jan. 15 and are believed to have been murdered.

The Lincoln Police Department stated that law enforcement has been searching locations in Lancaster and Saunders counties since Monday for the bodies of Hannah Neville, 26, and Roberto Tanner, 27.

The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office reported that an investigation has been going on in the area of Roads 22 and R.

Chief Michon Morrow, Lincoln Police Department, said two arrests have been made, Sterling James, 24, and his wife, Sayde Titus, 22, both from Lincoln.

James was arrested on two counts for first-degree murder and Titus is being held on two counts of aiding and abetting first degree murder.

Morrow said that witness statements and other information place Neville and Tanner at James’ apartment just before 7 p.m. on Jan. 15.

Investigators say Neville’s vehicle was “abandoned and found completely engulfed in flames” in Lancaster County on Jan. 16. Neville was thirty-two weeks pregnant and had reportedly missed medical appointments.

Investigators contacted Neville but her phone was no longer in service. Law enforcement now believe she was already deceased at this time, Morrow said.

On Sunday, Feb. 1, LPD served a search warrant at a residence in Lancaster County, and a number of people were detained and questioned. Morrow said that investigators learned that James had
admitted to shooting Neville and Tanner.

After the murders, James is believed to have buried their bodies and set fire to Neville’s SUV. Titus is believed to have aided in these actions.

The investigation is active and ongoing, Morrow said, anyone with additional information can contact 402-441-6000 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 402-472-3600.
