GRAND ISLAND – Two people were arrested Feb. 3 in a stolen vehicle in the Dick’s Sporting Goods parking lot following a shoplifting incident at the store.
Rachael Negus, also known as Rachael Howard, 40, 2209 Sheridan Ave., and Justin Orton 25, of Fremont were in a vehicle that was reported stolen in Lincoln.
Negus was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting for the Feb. 3 incident. Orton was also charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
According to a probable cause affidavit, police responded to the location because of a reported stolen vehicle. Negus and Orton were arrested, and property stolen from Dick’s Sporting Goods was found inside the vehicle.
Negus will have a hearing at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 24. Orton will have a hearing at 9 a.m. Feb. 26.
