KEARNEY — The City of Kearney, Sanitation and Landfill Divisions, announce due to the upcoming Presidents’ Day Holiday on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, the following changes will be in effect for the refuse collection system and the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill.
Residential Collection:
• Trash collection will be delayed one day, except Friday’s collection will remain on schedule.
• Recycling will be collected on schedule.
**Please have your container at the curb by 7 a.m. for collection.
Commercial Collection:
• Commercial trash collection scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday, February 17.
• Commercial Recycling will be collected on schedule.
Closings:
• The Kearney Area Recycling Center will be closed on Monday.
• The Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill will be closed on Monday.
