KEARNEY — A third Jimmy John’s location will open at the Younes Landing complex on the south side of Kearney.
The Jimmy John’s location will open at the new Younes Landing complex on the south side of Kearney and joins the campus that includes the Kearney Welcome Center, Kearney SportsPlex and Tru by Hilton/Homes2 Suites hotel located on the west side of the lake.
The location is nearly ready to opening, awaiting an inspection by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal. Jimmy John’s staff said the plan is to open the location after the inspection, likely no later than Monday Feb. 23.
The new Jimmy John’s address is 221 11th Ave. Unit D. The other locations in the Younes Landing include the Sip & Swirl Wine Bar, Kinkaider Brewing Co., Bierhaus Maisschäler and the Tasty Bowl.
The Jimmy John’s website lists the location’s future hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
The new location is the third one in Kearney, including the location at 5710 1st Ave. near downtown and the other on the north side of town at 2424 First Ave Unit 1.
The Jimmy John’s chain has over 2,600 locations, with 98 percent of them being franchises.
