LINCOLN — The Team Jack Foundation will host its 13th Annual Gala, presented by Fat Brain Toys, on Saturday, Feb. 28, at The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln.
Fat Brain Toys, an international toy company founded by Mark and Karen Carson in Elkhorn, Nebraska, has proudly supported the Team Jack Foundation since 2016.
This year’s keynote speaker is Zac Taylor, Head Coach of the Cincinnati Bengals and a former Nebraska Cornhusker quarterback. Taylor has led the Bengals to continued success on the national stage, including a Super Bowl appearance, and is widely respected for his leadership, resilience, and commitment to team culture. At Nebraska, Taylor led the Huskers to the Big 12 Championship game and was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2006.
While the event is sold out, everyone is encouraged to take part. Both the live and silent auctions are open to off-site bidders, and the program will be livestreamed on YouTube at no cost. The live auction, hosted on Proxibid, features 12 exclusive items, including travel experiences, premier golf packages, and luxury women’s items. The silent auction, sponsored by the ForeverNate Foundation, includes more than 160 items.
The Gala’s inspiring program raises critical funds for childhood brain cancer research to find better, kinder treatments and, one day, a cure. To watch live or place a bid, visit https://teamjackfoundation.org/live.
About Team Jack Foundation
The Team Jack Foundation’s mission is to raise research funds and awareness for childhood brain cancer. Brain cancer is the leading cancer cause of death in children. Each year less than four percent of U.S. federal funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research, with even less spent on childhood brain cancer research.
Since 2013, the Team Jack Foundation has raised over $16.3 million for childhood brain cancer research and has invested in 20 research projects regionally and nationally, including a $6.5 million commitment to the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Children’s Nebraska for the creation of a childhood brain tumor program.
