Kearney firefighters inspect a BMW convertible that was involved in the three vehicle accident, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — A three vehicle accident took place near the intersection of 2nd Avenue and West 8th Street during the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 26.
At 1:47 p.m., the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched near the intersection of 2nd Ave. and 8th St. for the report of a three-vehicle accident.
On scene, three vehicles were blocking the front street near the south McDonalds location.
A grey Toyota RAV 4 had minor front-end damage with its airbags deployed. A black BMW convertible had suffered front-end damage to the passenger side, its airbags were also deployed.
A grey Chevrolet SUV was also in the roadway, with light front-end damage.
Officers with the Kearney Police Department were processing the scene, while Kearney firefighters worked to help get the roadway cleared.
The accident is under investigation.
