GRAND ISLAND – A third candidate has entered the race for Grand Island mayor.
Debb Axtell Schultz, 73, filed Feb. 24. She will face City Council President Ryan O’Neill, 44; and Grand Island real estate agent Jimmy Reed, 36. Mayor Roger Steele is not seeking re-election.
In the District 5 Hall County Commissioners’ race, John McHargue, 71, filed Feb. 23. He will face Lynn Gardient, 54; and Jason Luebbe, 52. Incumbent Jane Richardson is not seeking re-election.
In the District 7 Hall County Commissioners’ race, Steve Johnson, 70, filed for election on Feb. 20. He will face Phil Wieck, 37. Incumbent Ron Peterson is not seeking re-election.
