MERRICK CO. — A Merrick County Deputy was detailed to 2nd Road just south of County Road I to investigate a single car roll over crash.
A preliminary investigation concluded that a 2010 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on 2nd Road, entered the west side ditch causing it to roll over.
All occupants of vehicle sustained minor injuries. The juvenile driver of the vehicle was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island to be examined.
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor. The driver was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Minor in Possession. The other two occupants were also cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and released.
Merrick County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Grand Island EMS.
