NORTH PLATTE — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have conducted alcohol compliance checks in Lincoln County.
During the evening hours of Friday, Feb. 27, investigators conducted alcohol compliance checks at several businesses in Lincoln County.
In total 12 businesses were checked. Ten of those businesses refused to sell alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 83%. All but one business checked the minor’s ID.
The businesses checked included convenience stores, restaurants, bars, and liquor stores.
Businesses that sell alcohol to minors are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
This project is funded (100%, $427,899.00) by the Region II Human Services Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services Block Grant (1B08TI088119-01) through SAMHSA, contracted through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health.
