ELM CREEK — We wish to make a community notification regarding some upcoming public safety training.
On March 11 thru 13, 2026 area members of regional law enforcement agencies will be participating in critical incident mass response training at the Elm Creek School in Elm Creek. Most of the training will be during the daytime, with one training session in the evening.
This training is being hosted at the Elm Creek public school by area law enforcement agencies including the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and Kearney Police Department.
Over this three day period, you may notice an increased presence of public safety personnel in the area of the school. This training will also include members of several regional public safety first responders including law enforcement, fire, EMS and Emergency Management.
Protocols will be in place with limited facility access and monitoring for safety and security purposes. We appreciate the support and understanding of citizens of Elm Creek in this process and appreciate the opportunity afforded us for public safety training in this community.
