GRAND ISLAND – Grand Island police arrested Joshua Poppen, 45, of Grand Island after he made a threat on social media in an attempt to scare employees at a bank in central Grand Island.
Poppen is accused of felony terroristic threats and felony threatening with an explosive device/place false bomb for the incident at 1:28 p.m. March 6.
Police first responded to the bank, then contacted Poppen a short time later. Poppen admitted to writing a message on social media in an attempt to scare bank employees.
Grand Island Police Division Chief Dean Elliott said that a warrant was issued for Poppen’s arrest.
