GRAND ISLAND — Weather permitting, work will resume March 12 on U.S. Highway 30 (US-30), west of Grand Island, from reference post 308.84 to reference post 312.55, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Werner Construction, of Hastings, is the contractor for this project. Work includes building left-turn only lanes at Claude Road, replacing the intersection at Old Highway 30 and Stolley Park Road, and finishing the median surfacing.

Additional work includes lighting, permanent pavement marking, erosion control and permanent seeding. Traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic control and signs. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is June 2026.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
