GRAND ISLAND – Donors believed in the power of giving, and now the Heartland United Way is inviting people in Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick Counties to help celebrate a record-setting fundraising campaign.
The Heartland United Way will hold its 79th annual meeting on from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at Riverside Golf Club, 2820 Riverside Drive.
The celebration will honor those whose belief in making our communities a better place has truly been inspiring.
Award winners are:
*Community Legacy Award: Tom and Kim Dinsdale.
*Outstanding Business Leadership Award: Case New Holland.
*Outstanding Community Champion Award: Local4 and Alissa Harrington.
Those at the celebration will hear from passionate volunteers, community partners and those impacted by Heartland United Way-funded programs, learning what inspired their belief in the Heartland United Way mission.
Also on the agenda:
*Campaign Chairs Kent and Tonja Brown will announce a record-breaking campaign and recognize all who contributed to the successful campaign, including the Top 25 Pacesetters and the workplaces who rallied their employees to give.
*Board Chair Kent Brown will recognize retiring board members and announce new leadership.
*The United Way Community Partner Agencies will be recognized for the impact they have on thousands of lives in Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick Counties.
