BROKEN BOW — Weather permitting, work will begin March 30 on Nebraska Highway 2 (N-2), from reference post 280 to reference post 287, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Paulsen, Inc. of Cozad, is the contractor for this project. Work includes grading, bridge repair, asphalt paving, guardrail, and seeding. Traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions, a pilot car and flaggers.
Traffic signals will be used for bridge work. An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is December 2026.
The purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation assets, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
