KEARNEY – The UNK basketball teams will head to Hays, Kans. tonight for their final regular season matchups of the year. Game times are set for 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
The Loper Women aim to break their two-game losing skid on the season to the Tigers (21-6, 15-6) as both teams have already clinched their spots in the MIAA Tournament next week in Kansas City. UNK dropped the last matchup at home in January 70-68 that broke a two game win streak in the series.
The UNK Men (5-21, 2-19) are last in the MIAA and will not make the conference tournament for the fifth straight season, last appearing in the spring of 2020. Fort Hays State (21-6, 1-5) is locked into the second place spot in the MIAA Tournament, two games ahead of third place Pittsburg State.
