KEARNEY — Following the success of last year’s Fun Fair, Kearney Catholic is hosting its second Fun Fair.
The free event is open to people of all ages who experience disabilities or support those who do. It will be held at Kearney Catholic High School on Friday March 9 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Members of Kearney Catholic’s Key Club raised funds by sponsoring a Dress Down Day, when students can pay a small fee to wear something other than their uniform. Last year’s Fun Fair included cookie decorating, nail polish, board games, karaoke, cornhole, bracelet making, basketball, and dancing. More than 100 people joined in the activities.
Arc Board president, Jordan Squiers, says, “We couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with the students at Kearney Catholic again this year. It’s an opportunity for our youth to engage with people who may be a little different from them and allows for those people to participate in fun activities with their friends.”
