GRAND ISLAND — The Grand Island Police are investigating two burglaries that occurred during the weekend, one from a closed garage, the other from a storage unit.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, during the early morning hours of Saturday, June 1, a 32-year-old female reported that an unknown person had entered her closed garage in the 500 block of W. Weede St. and took $1,200 in cash from her wallet that was inside her vehicle.
On Sunday, June 2, officers responded to the Husker Storage at 501 Gold Road in reference to a burglary.
The 45-year-old male and 38-year-old female reported that the lock on their storage unit had been cut off and multiple items had been taken.
Both cases are open and under investigation.
