MARQUETTE — On Aug. 6, 2024, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at 107 Lynn Street in Marquette for an unresponsive three-month-old child.
Stormi Swartz was pronounced deceased at Aurora Memorial Hospital after life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
On Aug. 22, Tiffany Cure, 20, of Marquette, was arrested for Child Abuse Resulting in Death, a 1B Felony. Cure was providing childcare for Swartz at the time of the 911 call.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol.
