VARSITY
Lincoln, Nebraska – The Kearney Bearcats beat the Lincoln High Links by a score of 25 to 0 in
3 innings on Thursday, August 31 at Doris Bair Softball Complex. Ava Magnani was credited
with the win and gave up just 1 hit on the night. Oliva Wright led the team with 4 hits and 7 RBI.
Kearney improved to 4-5 on the season and will play 3 games Saturday at Patriot Park in a
home tournament against Bellevue East, Grand Island Northwest, and Bellevue West. Their
first game will start at 9 AM on Field 5. The other games are tentatively scheduled for 1 PM and
7 PM but will depend upon the speed of games during the day.
JV
Lincoln, Nebraska – The Kearney Bearcats JV beat the Lincoln High JV by a score of 12-0 on
in three innings on Thursday, August 31 at Doris Bair Softball Complex. Addie Alexander shut
out the Links with 6 strikeouts. Allie Johnson and Madison Chamberlin led the team with 2 RBI
each.
Kearney JV improved to 3-6 on the season and will play 3 games Saturday at Patriot Park in a
home tournament against Grand Island Northwest, Bellevue East, and Bellevue West. First
game is scheduled for 11 AM with the other games at 3 PM and 5 PM depending upon the
speed of games during the day
