HASTINGS — Aw nuts! A six-minute power outage in Hastings this morning was determined to have been caused by a squirrel.
Hastings Utilities stated that the short outage affected an area south of U.S. Highway 6 between Baltimore and Elm Aves.
A squirrel was determined to have gotten into the power line, which kicked out an air switch.
Electrical crews restored power at 10:15 a.m.
