LOPER VOLLEYBALL RECLAIMS ATTENDANCE RECORD:

The UNK Volleyball program set their sights high, and reached their ultimate goal of reclaiming the Division II regular season attendance record.

On Wednesday night, hosting in-state foe Peru State, the University of Nebraska at Kearney volleyball broke the attendance record for a regular season matchup in Division II volleyball with a mark of 4,003.

This breaks the mark broken by Alaska-Anchorage last November with a crowd of 3,888. The capacity crowd finishes fourth all time in Loper Volleyball attendance history.

The record comes a week after the Loper Volleyball program attended Volleyball Day in Nebraska, as the event became the largest attending women’s sporting event in world history with 92,003 at Lincoln’s Memorial Stadium.
