GRAND ISLAND — Two males were arrested after the theft of two chainsaws and two firearms from a vehicle in Grand Island during the overnight hours of Monday, Jan. 27.

According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers responded to the report of a theft near Stolley Park Road and Highway 28. It was reported that during the overnight hours, a suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and removed several items totaling $550.00.

Officers would identify Caden Faubion and Isaac Brown via video footage from a nearby business and it would show the two men entering the vehicle and taking two firearms and two chainsaws.

The two chainsaws and a revolver would later be recovered.

Officers contacted the two men, and it was determined that Brown is a convicted felon from Lincoln County and Faubion is a convicted felon from Hall County. A search incident to arrest found brass knuckles located on Faubion’s person.

Brown was arrested for two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, two counts of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and theft by unlawful taking.

Faubion was arrested on two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, three counts of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and theft by unlawful taking.
