ALDA — Multiple Hall County fire departments respond to a structure fire in the community of Alda during the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 4.
According to the Grand Island Rural Fire Department, they received a call from the Alda Volunteer Fire Department for mutual aid regarding the structure fire at 12:01 a.m.
The other departments providing mutual aid included Cairo, Grand Island and Wood River.
Most crews departed the scene at 3 a.m. with Alda firefighters remaining on scene to monitor the situation.
Firefighters had to fight through the cold as well as battling the structure fire. The temperature at the time in Grand Island was 12 degrees with a wind chill of minus two degrees.
