NEBRASKA – The shot clock is beginning to become a permanent fixture across high school gyms in the state of Nebraska.
On Thursday, the Nebraska School Activities Association voted 7-1 in favor for allowing Classes C1, C2, D1, and D2 for the use of the shot clock in competitions for the upcoming season.
The shot clock usage will be used on a “game by game or tournament by tournament trial” should all participating schools agree, per the NSAA’s X page’s announcement on Thursday.
The NSAA Staff must also approve the competitions usage of the shot clock.
The shot clock was officially introduced in Class A last season. That change is now permanent for all Class A competitions.
This past April, Class B was approved for a trial-basis for the upcoming season.
