KEARNEY — The Kearney Public Schools (KPS) Board of Education has approved updates to student fees for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. These adjustments impact instrument rentals for orchestra and band, and school meal prices.
Instrument Rental Fees
Students participating in optional orchestra and band courses will continue to be responsible for renting, purchasing, and maintaining their instruments and attire. The approved rental fees for the 2025-2026 school year are:
- Orchestra instruments: $85 per year, a $5 increase
- Band instruments: $150 per year, a $5 increase
School Meal Prices
Breakfast and lunch prices for the 2025-2026 school year were raised by 10 cents per meal.
Cheer and Dance Fees
Cheer and Dance fees increased by $100. Participants are responsible for uniforms up to $1,050.
Prom Tickets
Prom tickets increased by $10 and are now $40.
