HASTINGS — The City of Hastings announced two street closures on South St. that will be upcoming.
The City of Hastings will close South Street between Burlington and Lincoln avenues for what is anticipated to be two days next week to accommodate sewer repairs in that area.
The closure will begin Monday April 14 and is anticipated to be concluded by the end of the day Tuesday April 15.
The closure, as well as the detour, will be well marked by the City of Hastings Street Department.
The eastbound detour begins south of the closure and takes traffic east along E Street to Colorado Avenue north to South Street.
The westbound detour takes traffic north on Denver Avenue and west on Third Street.
West South Street between the 1100 and 1300 blocks in Hastings will be closed from Friday April 11 through Friday April 18 for a sanitary sewer extension project.
This area is west of Burlington Avenue, between South Garfield and Bellevue avenues, and typically does not see a lot of traffic.
