KEARNEY – The UNK Volleyball team stuck around the Top Ten in this week’s edition of the AVCA Division II Coaches Poll.
UNK (10-1, 1-1) fell from No. 7 last week to No. 10 in this week’s poll after being swept in Topeka, Kans. by now No. 13 Washburn. The Ichabods (8-1) are up from No. 15 in last week’s poll.
Wayne State (Nebr.) took over the top spot after placing third last week. Concordia-St.Paul and West Texas A&M – both previously unbeaten – fell to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
Other MIAA schools voted in the Top 25 include: No. 21 Central Oklahoma (11-1, up from No. 25 last week) and No. 24 Northwest Missouri State (5-5, dropped from No. 18 last week). Central Missouri also received 47 votes in this week’s poll.
UNK hosts Doane tonight at the Health & Sports Center at 6 PM beginning a four-game homestand including a Thursday night match against No. 21 Central Oklahoma.
