OMAHA — On Monday, June 23, the Team Jack Foundation will host its 4th Annual Team Jack Golf Classic, proudly presented by Omaha Steaks for the second consecutive year.
As a valued partner, Omaha Steaks will once again provide an on-course experience like no other as well as the post-event reception. This year’s event will be held at Tiburon Golf Club in Omaha, Nebraska, and will be formatted as a four-person scramble. Former Nebraska Football standouts Rex Burkhead, Brent Qvale, Jeremiah Sirles, and Kenny Bell are serving as both participants and organizers of the Classic.
“Childhood brain cancer research remains drastically underfunded, and the Team Jack Foundation is working hard to close that gap. My former teammates and I are proud to host the annual Team Jack Golf Classic to help raise the critical funds needed for this cause. Every child deserves the best possible outcome, and through this meaningful annual event, we hope to make a lasting impact,” said former Nebraska and NFL running back and Team Jack Foundation Board Member, Rex Burkhead.
The Classic will be held at Tiburon Golf Club in Omaha on Monday, June 23, with registration at 10:00 AM and an 11:00 AM shotgun start. Select sponsorship levels offer teams the unique opportunity to golf alongside a former Nebraska Football player, forming a five-person team. In addition to Burkhead, Qvale, Sirles, and Bell, other former Huskers scheduled to attend include Mo Barry, Luke Gifford, Isaac Gifford, Tony Veland, Alex Henery, Jay Foreman, Matt Slauson, Brandon Reilly, Brenden Stai, Cody Green, Josh Banderas, with more being added each week! Prior to the start of the tournament, former players will compete in a longest drive contest to help raise extra funds for the cause. The day will conclude with dinner and awards ceremony.
“The annual Team Jack Golf Classic offers more than just a fun day on the course—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference in the fight against pediatric brain cancer. I’m honored to be involved in every part of this event, from planning to teeing off on tournament day. We’re grateful for the support of our current sponsors and excited to continue expanding this event and increasing the impact we make each year. If you haven’t registered yet, we’d love to have you join us on June 23,” said Jeremiah Sirles, former Nebraska and NFL offensive lineman.

About Team Jack Foundation
The Team Jack Foundation’s mission is to raise research funds and awareness for childhood brain cancer. The disease affects nearly 5,000 children each year and is the leading cancer cause of death in children. Each year less than four percent of U.S. federal funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research, with even less spent on child brain cancer research. The Team Jack Foundation has raised over $15 million for research and has invested in twenty projects nationally. One area of focus for the Foundation is the development of a childhood brain tumor program in Omaha, Nebraska. Team Jack has committed $6.5 million toward the program at UNMC and Children’s Nebraska. The Foundation will continue working with world-renowned researchers, directly, to develop relevant and impactful research initiatives. https://teamjackfoundation.org/
