Nebraska wrestling made a huge pickup from the portal, adding 2021 national champion A.J. Ferrari. Ferrari won his national championship with Oklahoma State as a freshman. Last year, for Cal State Bakersfield, Ferrari finished third. In his career at the college level, Ferrari is 51-2, finishing as an All-American twice. Ferrari’s second year in college was cut short by injury. He also took an Olympic year in 2023-2024. He has one year of eligibility remaining. The Cornhuskers are looking to building on the school best national runner-up finish from last season.
