LOUP CITY — A Texas man suffered serious injuries after being ejected in a rollover accident that took place near Loup City during the afternoon of Saturday, June 14.
According to the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office, they responded to the accident five miles south of Loup City on Highway 10 at 4:13 p.m.
It was determined that a 2003 Dodge pickup was traveling northbound on the highway when it crossed the centerline, struck the cable guardrail on the southbound side.
The pickup continued through the guardrail and rolled into a deep ditch, where it landed on its roof. The driver, identified as Luis Guillermo Martinez-Villasana, 22, of Cleburne, Texas, was unrestrained and was ejected from the vehicle.
He was transported to Kearney to CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital; his injuries were considered serious.
