GRAND ISLAND — A suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after being located with a stolen vehicle on Wednesday, July 8.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, on Wednesday officers responded to the report of a vehicle theft on S. Webb Rd.
Officers contacted a 47-year-old male who stated his silver 2003 Honda Odyssey had been stolen from the location around 6:30 p.m.
On Thursday, officers responded to an address on Ruby Ave. in reference to a recovered vehicle.
The 2003 Odyssey was returned to the owner while Victor Arviso-Licano would be arrested for theft by unlawful taking, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Also on Thursday, the GIPD received a report of a stolen vehicle near N. Elm St. The 31-year-old woman reported leaving a spare key in the gas tank door.
The vehicle valued at $9,000 was later recovered in Hastings. The case is remains open and under investigation.
