This enforcement effort was made possible thanks to a STEP (Special Traffic Enforcement Program) grant from the Nebraska Department of Roads – Office of Highway Safety.
The purpose of the Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Grant is to provide funding assistance to law enforcement agencies for selective overtime enforcement and education overtime in the emphasis areas of occupant protection, impaired driving & speed, distracted driving, and general traffic.
