KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Utilities announce that starting Tuesday, July 22, at 9:30 a.m., the westbound outside lane of 56th Street will be closed from 2nd Avenue West, to 4th Avenue.
The Water Operations Division will be performing valve maintenance, pushing traffic to the inside areas of the roadway. All intersections for businesses will remain open. The work is anticipated to take one week and roadway be fully reopened by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July
30, weather and construction permitting.
Motorists are asked to plan their alternative route(s) and use caution when in the area.
